CSCS

Vital Resources encourage and assist operatives to obtain CSCS cards or their equivalent.We have been supporting the MCG (Major Contractors Group)initiative since its inception.We have directed and continue to direct operatives to their nearest Training Centre and insist on copies of cards.We check with Phoenix for authenticity.If you want more information about CSCS please contact Head Office in Manchester 0161 836 7000 stating the nature of your enquiry and your location.

Qualitative Face Fit Respirator Testing

Checking that respirators with tight fitting face pieces seal adequately to the wearers face has long been considered best practice as part of a Respiratory Protective Equipment programme.With the introduction of the new Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations (COSHH) and the supporting Approved Codes of Practice, fit testing is now a mandatory requirement.One type and size of respirator will not fit everybody,so fit testing has been introduced to find the most suitable respirator for each individual. Training

Vital Resources has in house instructors delivering training for Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWPS). The one day courses cover Boom Lift or Scissor Lift or both and Harness Training if required. Our trainers are based in Bristol 01179 041 250 and Glasgow 01689-573-850 and cover the whole of the UK.

The Vital Resources London office (0207 824 5144) now has trained staff to deliver Manual Handling training and Qualitative Face Fit Respirator Testing. We can provide bespoken training packages so please contact the numbers detailed for more information.

Training - CCNSG

Vital Resources has the in-house capability to provide CCNSG training course for basic site safety. The CCNSG National Course is valid for three years from the date of the course.

We can also provide the CCNSG Supervisor Course and the one day CCNSG renewal course.

Training - HVCA Energy Efficiency

Vital Resources is always looking for ways to improve the services for our clients.  Our experienced Bristol office already had a Training Division offering IPAF Scissor Lift, Boom and Harness training (which now also includes Incident & Injury Free training) so it was natural to invest in our staff and clients by having Scott Crump trained and Authorised by the HVCA to deliver the BESCA Self Certification Course.

Vital Resources, has been an Affiliate Member and Accredited Trainer since 2000.  In late 2006 the HVCA invited Vital to take on and provide training in association with BESCA for both HVCA members & non members.  Thus enabling the trained staff to self certificate their installation work in line with Part L of the regulations towards energy efficiency.

The (http://www.besca.org.uk/) is of particular significance to the heating and ventilation sector, as it allows those trained to self certify and inspect on a range of issues surrounding energy efficiency and fuel conservation under Part L of the regulations.

Training - IPAF Boom Lift

Extremely versatile and one of the most popular machines in the industry today, the Boom Lift can reach up and over obstacles into inaccessible places (e.g. over walls for high level installation/maintenance and repair work) and is extremely manoeuvrable.

Training - IPAF Scissor Lift

Housing a large working platform cage that allows for a greater lift capacity.  Some models are suited to narrow access, others have extending working platforms and four wheel drive. All types of power can be specified including diesel, bi-fuel and electric.
